Everyone else agreed with you. Re the surgery, with no cartilage and 2 torn menesci, I had no choice but to preserve the one leg left. Just don’t get both done at the same time; everyone I’ve talked to who’s done that regretted it.
Thanks for the update John. It's been quite a journey so far but there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel. Sorry to hear you're in so much pain still. I was wondering about that Medicare deal and I had to AI it: Your friend’s experience likely refers to Medicare Advantage (Part C), not Original Medicare. While Original Medicare is a federal program that works the same across all 50 states, private Medicare Advantage plans are geographically restricted to specific service areas or "regions".
Your return timeline to Vietnam almost coincides with my after rehab plans. It would be nice to hobble together for a coffee one day in Dalat.😀
I apologize if it came across that I was talking about a friend with an issue with Medicare. Everything that I wrote about was regarding me. I have original Medicare and always have. Yes, it works the same across all 50 states, but apparently there are restrictions that they don’t advertise. The day the address changed, they accepted the application.
This is so you. I love it! There is no holding you down. GO YOU
Thanks! When you read the most recent post, I think you will say the same thing. Take care.
Love the leg. Love the story. Learned something, too. You’re doing a remarkable job with all this, John!
Thanks, Dan. I am looking forward to your reaction when you see today’s post and the artwork that I added. Please say hi to K for me.
Man. Remind me to never get joint surgery of any kind. I would have found the writing funny but I guess doctors have a God complex to maintain.

Not ideal. May it finally, finally, FINALLY, work out for you.
Thanks, DW!

Re getting together for a coffee, let me know when you are in town.
I'm sorry my mistake. I asked AI about your medicare. You are the friend.
Have been wondering— good to hear the update
